House Khagarn prides itself on the initiative of its family members and thus does not have a strict code of conduct on what business they focus on. The family has a loose hierarchy with each member technically holding all the same rights, thus each member is under no obligation to do as a higher rank commands them. However it is considered rude to not at least respect those of higher rank, and it can be even considered shameful if the command is not unreasonable.
The House focuses its energy by coordinating ‘events’ for family members to participate in order to enrich themselves or bring glory to the House. Anyone can run these events and the organiser is the leader by default unless otherwise indicated. It is considered the height of inappropriate behaviour not to follow the event leader’s instructions, and members are encouraged not to attend if they don’t feel like they could.
The Lord Mevan is the main organiser of events, but will sometimes elect a leader from those in attendance in order to give others a chance to prove themselves.
