The planet Luara is a mix between industrialisation and natural preservation. Its mega cities were built with the ambitious goal of creating rings of built areas with natural reserves dotted throughout them. The construction was a great successes and Luara become well known as a comfortable place to live and work.
While it began with massive mining operations the resource boom only lasted around a hundred years before the industry risked permanently damaging the planet. In the wake of resource slowdown Luara begin investments into factories and began importing raw materials from nearby worlds in order to fund its growing population.
However Luara’s glory days are behind her now, and while it’s still considered a booming economic force its growing inequality has spelt disaster for many. Crime outside of the centre of the mega cities is rife where gangs and pirates have settled into out of the way areas. Corporations have begun to run rampant, buying up anything of worth and stripping the value for them while the once great noble families’ powers begin to wane even further.
Now Luara is a strange contradiction of peace and crime, justice and corruption, few can say what the future holds for it.
